I suppose the word cumin does look a bit like cinnamon, and since they do come in the same size container her confusion is understandable. Who knows? Maybe, we should add some cumin sugar to the apple dumpling recipe.
My husband once made homemade ice cream with salt instead of sugar - they do "look" the same. Then he couldn't figure out why it wouldn't set up. The mystery was solved at the first bite.
